ARLENE WONG KING Educator, died in New Jersey on June 15, 2014 at age 74. Arlene was the daughter of the late George and Doris (Luke) Wong, born and raised in Kahuku, Hawaii. Arlene graduated from Oregon State University and Teachers College, Columbia University. Arlene lived and worked in East Orange, NJ and also taught in Kailua-Kona, HI for a short time. Arlene is survived by her children, Lorrie (Edbert), Douglas, Leidene, Dennis and Eric; former husband, Kenneth King; sisters, Rita Gonzales and Jacqueline Nowell, and many relatives and friends who loved her. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014: Visitation: 10-10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2124 Pauoa Rd, Honolulu, HI Mass: 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church Internment: 12:45 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park, 529 18th Ave, Honolulu, HI Aloha attire. Repast will follow at Park In lieu of flowers, Arlene requested that donations be made out to her beloved Holy Spirit/Our Lady Help of Christian's church located at 17 North Clinton Street, East Orange, NJ 07107.
