FRANKLIN HARRISON TAI NIN CHANGFRANKLIN HARRISON TAI NIN CHANG Age 79 of Pearl City passed peacefully on March 27th. He grew up in Kahuku, Oahu and was the youngest in a proud family of 9. Franklin was a 1952 boarding graduate of the Kamehameha School for Boys. A former air guard reservist and employed trucker with Oahu Transport Company, he retired as a shipping clerk from Hawaii Stevedores Inc. He shared 47 years in marriage with Angeline "Sweetheart" Laanui (preceded 2002). Franklin and Angeline looked forward to their annual treks to Las Vegas and Anaheim. A man of few words, Franklin and Angeline both understood the value of education in rearing their family. They are survived by Dwayne (Elaine); Dr. F. Healani Chang (Charles Wren); Anthony (preceded 1960); Daren; and Darwin (Miriam), plus nieces and nephews. They thoroughly enjoyed visits, stay-overs and shared activities with their grandchildren - Christian "Alaka'i"; Kaylen "Kela"; Peyton "Akonia'okalani"; Paxon "Kalahikiola" and Kailee "Poha'i". Services were private.
