78Pearl Chong Silva, 87, of Kapaa, Kauai, formerly of Kealia, Kauai, a Tony's Mini Mart cashier, died. She was born in Kealia. She is survived by sons Antone "Tony" Jr. and Melvin; daughters Theresa "Momi" Maglente, Linda Alamani, Pearl Lafavor, Toni Young, Irene Kawaguchi and Winona Dette; brother Albert Chong; sister Mary Jane Akana; 29 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Kapaa. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Catherine Cemetery.
