Paul Kalani "Lani" Panui Sr., 74, of Hilo, a retired Marine cargo specialist with the state Department of Transportation and an Air Force veteran, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Paul "Kalani" Jr., William and Patrick; daughter Paulette "Noe" Scott; brothers Edward "Bradda" and Charlie; sister Jennie Gomes; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Friday at Kuhio Chapel, 144 Desha Ave., Keaukaha. Services: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
