Ronald Kauwila Auld Sr., 78, of Hilo, a retired Army sergeant first class who served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, and a retired state Department of Corrections adult corrections officer, died in Hospice of Hilo's Pohai Malama Facility. He was born in Kalihi. He is survived by wife Ayako O.; sons Ronald K. Jr., William L., Andrew and Lyle; daughters Kehaulani Cancialosi, Hiilani Lapera and Lei Fa'anunu; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hilo Stake Center. Services: 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
