CHARLOTTE KAU AKAMU Charlotte Kau Akamu, 90, passed away surrounded by family at her home in Kaimuki on June 11. She lived in Honolulu most of her life and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Charlotte was the loving and devoted wife of Eugene Akamu (June 1916- Sept 2005). Charlotte's great passions in life were spending time with family, ballroom dancing and taking memorable trips, especially to Las Vegas. Charlotte's beauty, vivacious spirit and feisty nature will be greatly missed. She was truly the life of the party and a great sport. Children: Charlene Cohen (Marty), Patti-Gene Berry (July 1951-Aug 2003), Pamela Olivas (Raymond), and Wayne Akamu. Grandchildren: Mei Wah Akamu Watson, Natalie Watson Castillo (Frank), and David Watson. Great Grandson: Andrew Mareko. A private celebration of Charlotte's life was held.
