Sierra Exif JPEGRICHARD JOSEPH RICH CORDEIRO November 2, 1936 - June 21, 2014 Richard Joseph "Rich" Cordeiro, 77, of Wilhelmina Rise, retired Master Chief Quartermaster, Navigation Instructor, Defense Technical Writer, Small Business Owner, dedicated Barbershop Singer, and lifelong devoted Husband, Father, and Friend passed away in the wee hours of Saturday, June 21, 2014. Completing a late night game of backgammon with his wife only two hours earlier, he truly lived until he died! Rich will be remembered by his wife Alyse; his four adult children; Linda, Rich Jr., Michael, Melanie and their spouses; their mother Madeleine; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson; as well as the personnel under his command, students encouraged by his tutelage; and the many riser mates and audience members that were oft bemused & amused by his antics. Rich touched a multitude of lives with his humor, his insight, his honesty, and his deep compassion. He will be greatly missed. Rich's Remembrance Service will be aboard the USS Missouri on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 3PM, Aloha attire. Shuttles will run from the Arizona/Bowfin parking lot to the Missouri from 2PM until 2:45PM. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that honorariums be made to the Sounds of Aloha Barbershop Chorus, the Hawaii Foodbank, or to any charity of your choice.
