Joseph Kaaina "Sonny" Keohokapu Jr., 88, of Waimanalo, a retired truck driver for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, and a veteran of the Army and Army National Guard, died in Waimanalo. He was born in Kaauhuhu, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Joseph K. Gomes and Purdy P.U. and Glenn J.K. Keohokapu; daughters Jonella Peters, Madonna Keohokapu-Meria and Vannessa L.K. Dela Cruz; brothers Delanor and Purdy Keohokapu, and Robert "Robby Boy" Rivera-Keohokapu; sisters Lillian Farm, Doreen Makuakane, Adeline "Lehua" Mandac and Judy Koffman; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Sunday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Committal services: 10 a.m. Monday at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
