Frederick Yukio "Fred" Tamura, 71, of Honolulu, a retired Coast Guard welder at Sand Island and a Navy veteran, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Jon A., Glen M. and Ben T.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Private services.
