Norman Puanani Spencer
July 15, 2014 Norman Puanani Spencer, 70, of Hilo, a retired Hawaii Tribune-Herald district manager and an Army veteran, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by sons Richard "Tonto," Charles and Kaipo; daughters Norma Barco, Ardis Eblacas, Kanoelani Spencer, Robin Laa and Trudy "Suki" Andrews; stepson Reggie Souza; brother Fred "Bully"; sisters Carolyn Pua and Ida Nani Oliveira; half sisters Doreen Kaluhimoku, Faith Alameida and Millicent Himalya; 25 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation: 8 a.m. Friday at Haili Congregational Church, Hilo. Services: 10 a.m. Celebration of life: 1 p.m. Onekahakaha Beach Park, Pavilion 6. Private urn committal. Aloha attire. Lei welcome.
