80Charles "Black Hawk" Kainoa, 82, of Waimea, Hawaii, a retired water control specialist for Parker Ranch, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Kaauhuhu, Hawaii. He is survived by son Charles Jr.; daughters Tammy Kainoa and Donna Carvalho; brother Peter; sisters Lily Akana, Rose Ha and Mary Lee; hanai sister Blossom Mailliard; and caregiver Olinda Cazimero. Visitation: 8 a.m. Aug. 2 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, Hawi. Mass: 10 a.m. Burial to follow at the church cemetery.
