81Evelyn Fumiko "Evie" Hamakawa, 84, of Honolulu, a retired diagnostic prescriptive teacher for the state Department of Education, died in Straub Clinic & Hospital. She was born in Waianae. She is survived by son John, daughters Rae Katano and Lynn Hamamoto, sister Janet Sakata, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Private services. No monetary gifts.
