Jerome Charles McVay, 77, of Hilo, a retired schoolteacher and an Army veteran, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Chicago. He is survived by daughter Cathy M. Black, son Kevin P., brothers Donald and Richard, former wives Toni Burcar and Martis McVay, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Private services.
