Sarah Ann Saunders, 98, of Honolulu, a teacher and a veteran of the SPARS Coast Guard Women's Reserve during World War II, died in Honolulu. She was born in Watertown, Conn. She is survived by daughters Kelly and Patricia Saunders, and Barbara Pope; sons William, Robert and James; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Private services.
