LISA ANNE TOSHIKO CHINEN JOHNSONLISA ANNE TOSHIKO CHINEN JOHNSON Lisa Anne Toshiko Chinen Johnson, 50, passed away Thursday, August 28. A loving wife, a devoted mother, a caring sister, a cherished friend; these descriptors fall inevitably short of capturing Lisa Anne's spirit, but they do hint at the fullness of her generosity and the depth of her empathy. She began her college studies at UH and later transferred to Rutgers University, New Jersey, where she earned B.A., with honors, in English composition. Returning home, Lisa Anne earned a masters in English Literature from the University of Hawaii, where she served as a dissertation editor for the graduate division. For the past 16 years, Lisa Anne focused all her energy on raising her two daughters, Brianne (16) & Brooke (11). Lisa Anne is survived by her husband of 27 years, Phillip Johnson, her daughters Brianne & Brooke Johnson, her brothers Anthony & Nathan Chinen, her sister Harmoni Chinen, her mother Reiko Bailey, and her father Theodore Chinen. Services for Lisa Anne will be held at Hosoi Garden Mortuary on Saturday, August 13, visitation 4:00 pm, service 5:00 pm.
