Mamoru "Gori" Hirata, 87, of Honolulu, a retired Hirata Builders General Contractors carpenter and an Army veteran, died in Kuakini Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by son Guy M., daughters Ann H. Cowels and Donna T. Hirata, sister Beatrice Hoshino, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 10 a.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire.
