Palmer Ulumaheihei Purdy, 67, of Pukalani, Maui, an Air Force retiree, a manager for Dugied Construction and a sports announcer for the Maui Interscholastic League, died in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Puunene, Maui. He is survived by wife Patricia; son Parrish; brother Robert W.; sisters Beatrice "Kapu" Kaiaokamalie, Bernice Higa-Wirtl and Harriet K. Fukuoka; and two grandchildren.
