72Manuel Mercado Sr., 80, of Mountain View, Hawaii, a retired Hawaii County landscaper, died at home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Alice; sons Manuel III, John, Robert, Manuel D. I and Peter; daughters Linda Pennywell, Judy Mercado, Monalisa Santos, Alice Smith, Virginia Santana and Cynthia Kisamore; 34 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
