Manuel Oliveira Jr., 79, of Hilo, a retired business agent for AFL-CIO Local 368 and an Army veteran, died in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Papaikou, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Mary Jane "Lani," daughters Anastasia Broussard and Maria Hardin, sons Manuel IV and Paul D., brother Donald, sisters Betty Royston, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10 a.m. Casual attire.
