JOHN "Mr. C" KALILI CASSON
09-28 JOHN CASSONJOHN MR. C KALILI CASSON On August 31st 2014, surrounded by his loving family, our Papa flew on the wings of angels to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Affectionately called Mr. C; John Kalili Casson was born on September 2nd 1929 in Lahaina, Maui to the late Julia Lei Puahala and Maxwell lwa Casson. He enlisted in the newly formed Hawaii National Guard and later served his country during the Korean Conflict as an Army infantryman. Upon his return, he worked as a trolley/bus driver for HRT, MTL and retired from OTS after a combined 33 years of service. Mr. C married Rebecca "Ruby" Repoyo and made their home in Makakilo where they resided for 45 years. His eighty-four years of life was blessed with a devoted wife of 53 years and his children Roxanne (Albert) Bruhn, Elmer (Guia) Solidum, Jr., John (Ann) Casson, Jr., Jill (Danny) Casson, and Malia Casson; his 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; his brother David I'l and his sisters Irene Mitte and Henrietta Puahala. Preceding him in death were his siblings: Maxwell lwa Casson, Jr., Clarence Casson, and Julia Kuulei Tirrell. The memory of Mr. C's gentle spirit and humble bearing will live on in the hearts of his many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him very much. Services will be held at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel.
