Derrick Akira Nakano, 55, of Hilo, proprietor of Nakano Towing Co., died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Joan, daughter Reesha, stepson Jeffrey Nishimoto, father Francis, mother Mitzi, brother Daryl and grandparent Hideko Motoyama. Visitation: 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Casual attire.
