THELMA YUKIKO ISHIHARA BOTELHO
10-03 THELMA BOTELHOTHELMA YUKIKO ISHIHARA BOTELHO Thelma Yukiko Ishihara Botelho, 94, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2014. She was born at Speckleville, Camp 3, in Puunene, Maui. She is preceded in death by her husband Angelo Botelho and son, Wilford Botelho. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Krum and Karin (Jim) Nutter; her grandchildren Llewellyn and Andrea Wailehua, Jonathan and Nicholas Nutter, Shane, Jason, and Jeremy Botelho of Utah, along with their mother Kris Botelho. Thelma also leaves behind 10 great grand children from Utah. She has two surviving sisters, Lillian Ho and Sue Tanabe; two brothers, Robert (Jean) and Richard (Michiko) Ishihara, numerous nieces and nephews. Thelma resided at Kahala Nui for many years. The family wishes to thank the staff and administrators at Kahala Nui for providing Thelma with wonderful care over the years. They also wish to acknowledge Hospice Hawaii, its director, Dr. Michiko Inaba, chaplain Sister Mary, and the entire staff who so diligently and compassionately took care of Thelma the last 2 months of her life. Mahalo to Hospice volunteers Susan, Camden, Raina, and Kaori, with her menagerie of dogs, who brightened Thelma's final days. Special thanks to friends and family who physically and spiritually fed Thelma with their prayers, songs, laughter and ethnic edibles. Her life will be celebrated at Nuuanu Memorial Park, October 10, 2014, at 6:00P.M. Family requests no gifts. Burial will be private. Aloha attire requested.
