Stanley Mitsuo Wakayama, 89, of Wailua House Lots, Kauai, a Department of Water retiree and an Army veteran who served in the Military Intelligence Service, died at home. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by wife Ruth; son Scot; daughter Laura; brother Jack; sisters Miyako Betty Yama, Kate Watase, Grace Munechika and Irene Matsuda; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at Lihue Christian Church. Celebration of life service: 3:30 p.m.
