STANLEY KILOHANA BLACKSTADSTANLEY KILOHANA BLACKSTAD 1932-2014 The Son of Axel Berger Blackstad and Hattie Laika Nawai, of Waimea, Kauai. Stanley was born at home in Waimea, Kauai on February 20, 1932 and raised on Kauai and Oahu. Through his upbringing & experience Stanley worked as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic for more than 60 years. Retired from McCabe Hamilton & Renny where he was a Journeyman-Leader man, everyone at McCabe and the waterfront knew Stan, his work ethics and as a person who could get the job done. Stan was preceded in death by siblings, Alexander, Richard, Ernest, Joseph, Mabel Chang, Ruby Shoman & Elaine Kaukani. Stan is survived by his brother Robert, and sister Florence Kajiwara. A loving wife Lois "Miki" Blackstad of 48 years. Daughters Stanette (Kevin) Miller, Billielani Blackstad, Sunnylei (Chris) Helmond, Lurline (Tommy) Silbernagel, Nicole Blackstad & Lana Schilling; son Boyd Blackstad. Grandchildren Conrad & Robert (Nichole) Blackstad, Makanaonalani Llanos, Ashlyn Padilla, deceased grandson Mathew Dias and great grandchildren Sayge & Maile Blackstad, Kadence & Landon Padilla & Aliyah Montoya. Numerous Niece's, nephews & grand nices and nephws. Viewing for Stanley will be held at Diamond Head Memorial on Thursday October 23, 2014 at 5:00-9:00pm and Friday October 24, 2014 at 9:30am with burial to follow at 12:45pm at Diamond Head Memorial Park.
