Fred L. Strohlin Sr., 96, of Aiea and Pearl City, a retired Federal Fire Department captain and an Army veteran, died. He was born in Waipahu. He is survived by wife Janis B., sons Fred L. Jr. and Charles B., daughters Irene S. Ho and Dardanella S. Oliveira, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Committal services: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery, Kaneohe.
