WYLEON LO
WYLEON LO Wyleon Lo, 96, born in Hawaii on May 22, 1918, passed away on September 4, 2014. He is survived by his wife Amy Lo, his children, Linda Cheetham (Jim) and Cy Lo from his marriage to Brenda Lo, step- children Donna Takahashi and Michael Takahashi (Andrea), grandsons Christian, Sean and Ryan Cheetham, stepgrandsons Holden and Peter Takahashi, great-grand- son Gunnar Cheetham, and brother Waituck Lo (Agnes). He was predeceased by his parents Tong Kam Ha and Lo Wait Tong and brothers Wai Sung, Wai Chee and sister Chou Oi. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Through his efforts and those of his brother Waituck, family ties were reestablished between the Tong and Aluli families, gathering for many reunions. Wyleon was talented in sculpting, painting and photography. He designed and painted the dragon columns in Chinatown in front of the Bank of Hawaii building. They have become a neighborhood landmark. He worked at Hawaiian Electric as a bookkeeper from 1948 to 1979. He retired from Hawaiian Electric to join the family business: stores in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and Hilton Hawaiian Village selling Pacific Rim art and wares. Special thanks to his niece Wina Gosnell and Catholic Charities for providing time, company and care to Wyleon in his later years. Donations may be made to Catholic Charities Hawaii, 1822 Keeaumoku Street, Honolulu, HI 96822. A memorial will be held in the spring.
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
