Michael Howard Sylva, 55, of Ocean View, Hawaii, a mechanic and an Army veteran, died. He was born in HoÂnolulu. He is survived by companion Carol Christenson, brothers Keoni and Thomas, and sisters Tammy Grance, Annette Vierra, Doris Faye and Loretta Jardin. Private services to be held at a later date.
