KAWELOLEILANI JULITA MILES FARGIE Kaweloleilani Julita Miles Fargie died peacefully Oct.18th at her residence in Hauula, Hi. She would have been 93 yrs old Nov.1st. Her family was by her side at her passing. She is survived by her sons William Kalei-o-namoku Miles Fargie and Dennis Kawelohelii Malcolm Fargie, 10 grand- children and 4 great-grand- children. Son Oscar Mahi Smith Fargie died unexpectedly at age 43. She was born Nov. 1, 1921 in Kalihi Valley, graduated Roosevelt High School. She left the islands after WWll and spent the rest of her life travelling the world with her husband Oscar S.Fargie Jr., a 30yr career Marine and subsequent entrepreneur. Her memberships include Ahahui Kaahumanu, Daughters of Hawaii, EX-POW widows, NARFE and many others. Kawelo was one of 9 sisters and is survived by the last remaining "Miles girl", her youngest sister, Loveolita James. Services will be held this Thursday, Nov. 13th at Borthwick Mortuary, Vinyard and Maunakea Sts., Mauka Chapel, 9am Visitation, 10am Funeral Service. At 1pm she will join husband Oscar in Hawaii Veterens Memorial Cemetery, Kamehameha Hwy, in Kaneohe.
