Ronald "Julio" Martinez, 73, of Hilo, a retired Pearl Harbor crane operator and an Army veteran, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Ying; sons Ronald Jr. and Randall Martinez, and Heiko Christoph; daughter Renee Dayanan; brothers George Martins and Dennis Martinez; sisters Margaret Donato and Alice Vares; and four grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo. Mass: 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
