FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

MARTIN JASKOT
$nameMARTIN JASKOT Martin Jaskot, 77, died at home in Honolulu on November 4th from pulmonary fibrosis. He was born in Middletown, Connecticut in 1937, graduated from Wesleyan University, and The University of Chicago School of Business. Marty came to Hawaii in 1964 with Peat Marwick Mitchell as a CPA. He worked with interesting people in interesting times, many of whom became close friends and family. In 1972 Marty joined Theo Davies as a controller and in 1999 retired as President and CEO. The rich history of the company, diverse work experiences and dedicated co-workers made his career enjoyable and satisfying. When he retired, Marty liked to say that he got his PhD in Relaxation: he traveled extensively, read every word in the newspaper and stuck to his exercise routine at Clark Hatch. He is survived by his wife Terry, son Jay, and daughter Mardi who all are grateful for their family life. Marty was the oldest of eight children born to Josephine and Martin Jaskot, Sr.; his brothers, sisters and in-laws, all in Connecticut, are a hoot to be around. Celebration of Marty's life will be on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at Star of the Sea Church, 4470 Aliikoa St., visitation from 9am, service at 10am, talk story time to follow in the Social Hall. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers please make donations to: Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, Inc., 2610 Kilihau Street, Honolulu, HI 96819. Marty was a member of the Goodwill board for decades and was dedicated to their mission. The family thanks all of the friends and co-workers who contributed to the wonderful life of this wonderful man.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
