Douglas Stanley Hough, 86, of Hilo, a teacher, yacht captain, builder and a Navy veteran, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. He was born in Los Angeles. He is survived by wife Cathy; daughters Cheri Damico, Dana Dieterich and Renee Turner; stepson Marcus Scott; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Celebration of life: 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Center for Spiritual Living, Hawaiian Paradise Park. Keaau. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Hospice of Hilo.
