73Matthew Makaio Ako Jr., 64, of Waianae died in Puuwai o Makaha Nursing Home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Matthew M. III, Max, Joseph and Whiston Ako, John N. Kawaa Jr. and Matthew Vierra; daughters Abalette and Avon; brothers Matthew K.N.; sisters Maeline Kawaa and Georgette Young; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
