LOUIS K. COLLINS, JR. In the warmest light of October 13, 2014, with family at his side, Louis K. Collins, Jr. breathed peacefully into eternity at 93 years of age. Born in Honolulu July 22, 1921, the first born of Louis K. Collins and Amoy Ahu was raised by his grandparents in Kapahulu, Hoolehua and Mooilili before graduating from Iolani School in 1940. After graduating from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Louis worked his charismatic personae with his athleticism, intellect, wit and common sense through a career of public relations with Mueller & Phipps, Primo Distributing Company, and Y. Hata and Sons before retiring to the family owned coffee farm in Keopu, Kona and to his fields of protea flowers in Kau. Louis is survived by sons Ernest "Mahoe" (Brenda), Louis K., Taylor and Michael J.; daughters Joanna U. Kaalele, Fanny K. (George) Alcosiba, Kathy Lou K. (Dan) Manuel and Titi K. (Bill) Ricafort; brother, John K.; sisters Winona K. Wong, Fanny K. (Sam) Au Hoy, Georgiana P. Clark and Ernesta H. (Frank) Masagatani; 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great-grandchild; many cousins, nephews and nieces. Visitation 9 am Friday December 12, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary's Maunakea Chapel. Service at 10. Aloha Attire. Private Inurnment.
