82Bernard James "Jim" Powers, 76, of Honokaa, Hawaii, a retired carpenter at the former Hamakua Sugar Co., died in Life Care Center of Kona. He was born in Toledo, Ohio. He is survived by wife Anita Tabac-Powers, daughter Angelia Elarco, stepdaughters Richelle Carvalho and Renee Sanchez, and four grandchildren. Private services.
