ELEANOR CABUS FLORENDOELEANOR CABUS FLORENDO March 12, 1925 - November 8, 2014 Eleanor "Leoning" Cabus Florendo died on November 8, 2014 surrounded by her children in the house where she and husband Joseph raised a family and lived quiet and dignified lives of hard work, self sacrifice and love. Born March 12, 1925 in Wailuku Maui, Hawaii to Mariano Cabus and Paula Quilacio Agua, raised in San Esteban, Ilocos Sur, P.I. Graduated from Farrington High School in 1948, and attended the University of Hawaii. Eleanor and husband Joseph opened a residential care home in the 1960's. She was cofounder and president of the United Group of Care Home Operators and the Alliance of Residential Care Administrators. Eleanor is survived by son Joseph Jr. (Elea), daughters Joyceleane (Steve) Morrissey, Freida (Mark) Higashi, Elisa (Richard) Seaman, 11 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren, sisters Shirley Suganuma and Rosinda Auffrey. She is preceded in death by husband, Joseph and son, Edwin. Visitation 9:30am Monday, December 8, 2014 at Mililani Downtown Mortuary.
