Mele Kalua'u Barton, 62, of Kailua-Kona, a salesclerk and interpreter at Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, died at home. She was born in Kalaoa, Hawaii. She is survived by husband Douglas; sons Kaumana, Kapono, Lanakila, Kaleokalani and Kuukoa; daughters Kuulei Harker and Pomai Barton; brothers William, John and Matthew Kalua'u; sisters Hazel Taetuna and Jean Ahtou; and 15 grandchildren. Visitation: 10 a.m. Dec. 6 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kailua-Kona 2nd Ward. Services at noon. Burial to follow at Kona Memorial Park. Cas*ual attire. Flowers welcome.
