Shiro Shimada, 84, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. Postal Service mail handler and an Army retiree, died in Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Wailuku. He is survived by wife Chisato, sons David and Daniel, sisters Kimiye Tapat and Momoye Shimada, and two grandchildren. Visitation: 3 p.m. Sunday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Services: 4 p.m. Casual attire. Flowers welcome.
