YOUTHERON B. JONES Entered into rest on November 24, 2014 at the age of 85. "Brother" was born in 1928 to Bolivar and Orgiareen Jones in Chicago, Il., the first son in a family of 12 children. Jones is survived by his former wife Anna, daughter Sonecha Kim, son Marc Ellis (Lisa), along with his two grandchildren Alexa and Daniel. Surviving siblings are Barbara, Josephine, and Catherine, along with a host of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by 8 of his siblings: Cleopatra, Amy, Mary, Florence, Thomas, Maxine, Benjamin and Orgiareen. He served his country in the U.S. Army - stationed for a time in Korea. On July 24, 1955, he married Anna Peoples and they had 2 children: Sonecha Kim and Marc Ellis. Jones was a talented lithographer, and after retirement a successful businessman. He loved fishing, football, and most of all, playing cards! He lived in Honolulu for 34 happy years, spending time with countless friends. His dear and very special friends, Jack and Eilenn Stanton, have been with him every step of the way. The family wishes to give special thanks to Julia Acoba and the staff at Aloha Nursing for their dedicated care and concern. Life celebration will be held on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at: The New Otani Kamana Beach Hotel, San Souci Room, 2pm - 6pm.
