WILLIAM JARRETT JERRY HAALILIO BRUHN JR William Jarrett "Jerry" Haalilio Bruhn Jr (aka Baby Brother), 84, of Honolulu passed away peacefully on Nov 20 in Georgia with wife, Charmaine and daughter, Bridget at his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years; brother, Kalani (Puna) Dawson; sisters, Mapuana Kapana and Puaala (Benji) Wong; sons, Tevet (Marsha), Steven, Lyman (Sheila), Blaise (Michelle); daughters, Jermaine (Chris) Wendt, Amy, Malia (Edward) Millan, Bridget; 23 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Jerry was a loving husband, father and friend whose legacy as a teacher, coach, and athlete will be remembered by the many lives he touched. A St Louis College Alum, he excelled at basketball and went on to play for the University of Hawaii. He was also the first UH men's volleyball coach. His journey through life included being the recipient of the Purple Heart in the Korean War, as a member of the U.S.M.C. "Semper Fi". He was a GS9-11 while with the Civil Service stationed overseas in the Philippines, Taiwan and Panama. One of his many joys was the years spent teaching & coaching at St Louis HS and UH. The one constant in his life was the partnership he shared with his wife, guided by prayer and a life dedicated to God and family. Aloha!
