Alberta Hamscher Lindsay, 91, of Hilo, a Navy WAVES veteran who served in World War II, and a teacher, counselor, school psychologist and principal, died in Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. She was born in Philadelphia. She is survived by daughter Andrea and son William Jr. Visitation: 9 a.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 10 a.m. Burial in Newtown, Pa. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to Pearl S. Buck International, 520 Dublin Road, Perkasie, PA 18944.
