Samuel Ladd "Sam" Heine, 74, of Honolulu, a retired Honolulu Fire Department engineer and a Coast Guard veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Leina'ala "Ala" Kalama-Heine; son Kalama; daughters Niuli'i and Heali'i Heine and Auli'i Hirahara; sister Lydia Frederickson; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9 a.m. Saturday at the Mystical Rose Chapel, Saint Louis School. Services: 11 a.m. Reception to follow at the St. Louis Alumni Clubhouse, 925 Isenberg St. Aloha attire.
