78Rene Michele Shindo, 54, of Hilo, a student activities coordinator and former teacher at Hilo High School, died at home. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by husband Howard, parents Walter and Frances Tanaka, and sister Kelly Kodani. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary. Services: 11 a.m. Casual attire. No flowers.
