75Edwin Franklin Shinn Jr., 80, of Kailua-Kona, a Presbyterian minister and sociologist, died in Hale Ho'ola Hamakua. He was born in Los Angeles. He is survived by wife Miriam, sons Mark and Nathaniel, daughter Rachel Baker, brother Raymond and five grandchildren. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Jan. 4 at Regency at Hualalai.
