Robert E. Heidenfeldt, 88, of Hilo, a retired investigator for the state Child Support Enforcement Agency, an Army veteran who served in World War II and a Navy veteran who served in the Korean War, died in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Tonawanda, N.Y. He is survived by wife Miguela "Meg"; sons Bruce, Gary and Brian; daughters Karen Heidenfeldt, Debra Ryder and Gail Gali; sisters Dora Buchner and Lois Lovis; half sisters Marie Garner, Elaine Woloszyn and Gale Synkowski; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 5 p.m. Monday at Dodo Mortuary, Hilo. Services: 6 p.m. Graveside services: 11:30 a.m. Dec. 30 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Aloha attire. No flowers.
