Petronilo "Peter" Cardenas Jr., 59, of Kaneohe, a boilermaker at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, former state Department of Transportation draftsman and a Navy veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Karen; sons Curtis Kaanapu and Michael Cardenas; daughters Cherilyn Campbell and Melissa Lamerson; brothers Roland, David and John; sisters Yolanda Kerr, Nena Wong, and Kimberly and Evelyn Cardenas; hanai sisters Tracy, Lanette "Jojo" and Ashley Teixeira; and four grandchildren.
