81Betty Jean Gomes, 70, of Pukalani, Maui, a retired Kaanapali Beach Hotel employee, died. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband James S.; daughters Michele Gomes-Felipe, Nicole Kawamura and Tiffany Shimaoka; brothers Gene W., Phillip and Arthur W.
