81Howard Patrick Pacheco Tavares, 82, of Kihei, Maui, a retired state grounds maintenance foreman, died at home. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Jacqueline "Jackie"; daughters Debbie Hipolito, Teri Tavares and Cindi Rosete; brother John P.; sister Lorraine Evans; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
