$nameRONALD KALANI KAMA Sept. 21, 2014 Ronald Kalani Kama, 77, of Honolulu, retired Oahu branch chief for the state Department of Land and Natural Resources, Conservation and Resources Enforcement, former Honolulu Police Department Solo Bike Officer and an Air Force veteran, passed away in Arcadia Retirement Residence with family at his side. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by his Wife: Eva Reiko Miyahara Kama; Son: Meyer Kaulana Kama; Son: David Kauwila Kama and daughter in law Colleen Kama; Granddaughter: Christyne Kauilani Kama; Step Grandson Matthew McCollough; Great-grandson: Joshua Kekoa Polani Kama. He is also survived by his Brother: Peter Kama, his wife, his children and step children; grandchildren and step grand- children; Sister: Caroldean Kealamokihana Jackson and her three sons and five grandchildren; Brother: Issac Kama, his wife and two daughters, Sister: Darlene Goya and her daughter. Preceded in death by his parents Peter Pele Kama and Myrtle Kuuleilikolehua Sang (Naholoholo). Private services were held on September 29, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary and Committal services and Inurnment were at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl on September 30, 2014. While private services were held, and did not accommodate so many that loved him, this obituary is to thank all that loved and knew Ronald, and that your thoughts and prayers to his family were greatly appreciated.
