Tamio Otsu, 91, of Kailua, a retired marine biologist with the National Marine Fisheries Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and an Army veteran who served in World War II with the 2nd Battalion, 442nd Regimental Combat Team, died in Castle Medical Center. He was born in Captain Cook, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Betsy; daughters Deborah Yamauchi, Allyson Livendale and Michelle Otsu; sisters Chizuko Kudo and Sumiko Biller; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Private services.
