74Hiroaki "Thompson" Sakata, 86, of Hilo, formerly of Honokaa, Hawaii, a photographer and proprietor of the former Sakata Art Studio in Honokaa, died at home. He was born in Honokaa. He is survived by wife Gail Y.K.; son Nathan Komura; daughters Mona Shigekane, Joslyn Hoota and Gwen Beltran; brother Masaaki; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Visitation: 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Services: 9:30 a.m. Casual attire.
